How do pressure caps work?

Pressure caps use a very simple but effective closure system to keep the liquid in the bottle intact. They have a conical structure that fits easily into the neck of the bottle by applying light manual pressure.

Once pushed down, they create an airtight seal that prevents spillage and protects the contents from external contamination. To remove them, simply pull the cap upwards, as the ergonomic head ensures a secure and easy grip.

Pressure caps: all the advantages

The main advantages of pressure caps include:

  • Airtight seal: they protect the contents by preventing spillage and preserving the freshness and quality of the product.
  • Ease of use: they can be applied and removed manually without the need for tools, making them practical for both the manufacturer and the end consumer.
  • Customisation: you can customise them with logos, lettering or decorations to enhance the product design and reflect your brand identity.
  • Adaptability: they are ideal for different types of products, such as liqueurs, spirits, oils and vinegars, and guarantee an airtight seal on bottles of various shapes and sizes.

What types of materials can be used to make pressure caps?

The choice of material depends largely on your brand identity or the specific requirements of your product. In any case, pressure caps can be made from different materials, such as:

  • Plastic: ideal for large-scale production or if you are looking for economical and customisable solutions.
  • Wood: appreciated for its natural and refined appearance and therefore suitable for high-end products such as spirits and fine oils.
  • Aluminium: resistant and lightweight, it gives the bottle a modern and professional touch, ensuring durability over time.
  • Cork: a decidedly eco-friendly choice that can express the craftsmanship and sustainability of the product.
  • Synthetic material: lightweight and resistant, it is easy to customise with techniques such as hot stamping or pad printing and allows you to choose from a wide range of colours and finishes to suit your aesthetic needs.
